Advice to all agencies in Sheffield who are supporting children, their families & staff through the Coronavirus or Covid-19 pandemic.

If you have any questions that are not covered below please email the Sheffield Children Safeguarding Partnership at: SCSP@sheffield.gov.uk. We will forward your email to the service staff who are able to answer your questions. 

Parenting support during the pandemic:

A leaflet, Coronavirus, advice about staying at home has been developed to share key messages about isolation and distancing.  For use by all professionals working with the Roma community. Please  share as appropriate.

Concerns about children:

Anyone can refer  concerns about children & young people to the Sheffield Safeguarding Hub on 0114 273 4855

Practitioners can use the Multi-Agency Confirmation Form (MACF) to send an electronic referral to the Sheffield Safeguarding Hub either via Anycomms or other secure email process, see: Referring a safeguarding concern to Children’s Social Care

        Learning difficulties - materials to help understand Coronavirus:

        People with a learning disability may have more difficulty understanding the changes to their life and community. These You tube videos help to explain why there are so many changes to ordinary life, and that the changes are temporary. The changes may include why people are not visiting, why support staff might be wearing masks, gloves and aprons, and why people cannot go out to the usual places.
