Early years providers must comply with the EYFS Statutory Framework (September 2026).
The safeguarding and welfare requirements are set out within Section 3 of the EYFS Framework.
The Sheffield Children Safeguarding Partnership does not replicate statutory guidance.
For statutory safeguarding and welfare requirements please refer directly to the Department for Education guidance.
The Early Years pages contain Sheffield-specific safeguarding arrangements, training expectations, local procedures and resources which supplement the EYFS requirements
This means that many documents which re-explain the Statutory Guidance have been removed.
