Safeguarding Workshop - Seeing the Bigger Picture: Understanding Cumulative Harm Inside and Outside the Home

Monday 16 November | 2.00pm-4.00pm | Online

Delivered by Sheffield’s Health Partners, this engaging workshop will explore how children can experience cumulative harm through both intra-familial and extra-familial experiences, and why understanding the connections between these risks is essential to effective safeguarding. Learning from local and national practice highlights the importance of recognising patterns of harm over time and considering the child's lived experience across all areas of their life.

Running as part of Safeguarding Awareness Week, this session will help professionals and volunteers working with children and families in Sheffield strengthen their understanding of cumulative harm, improve holistic assessment, and consider how neglect, family adversity, peer influences, community risks and exploitation can interact to impact children’s safety and wellbeing.

A valuable opportunity to deepen your safeguarding knowledge and enhance your practice alongside colleagues from across the partnership.
