Safeguarding Workshop - Safeguarding Children in the Community: The Role of Licensing
As part of Safeguarding Awareness Week, join Sheffield Children Safeguarding Partnership Licensing Officers for a one-hour workshop about how licensing activity helps keep children safe across our communities.
The session will explore the work undertaken with local businesses, licensed premises, and community venues to identify risks, promote safeguarding responsibilities, and strengthen the protective network around children and young people. Participants will gain an understanding of the role licensing plays in safeguarding children, how professionals can contribute to community safeguarding, and the importance of partnership working in creating safer environments for children and families.
With this year's Safeguarding Awareness Week focuses on Child Neglect, the session will highlight how community-based safeguarding, professional curiosity, and shared responsibility can help identify children who may be vulnerable, overlooked, or in need of support beyond the home environment.
Suitable for practitioners, managers, and volunteers working with children, young people, and families across Sheffield.
