Safeguarding Workshop - Risk Outside the Home and Children who go Missing
Risk Outside the Home (ROTH) is an issue which can impact Young People within their communities and online spaces.
Having appropriate responses and interventions in line with Working Together Guidance (2023) is a key part of Safeguarding measures to ensure that young people can recognise and navigate areas of risk, families are informed and supported to support their children and young people and communities are empowered to challenge and respond to risk in their area.
This Risk Outside the Home and Children who go ‘missing’ for frontline practitioners training session aims to explore the current theory and how it can work in practice.
The (2 hour) training session will explore:
- What is Risk Outside the Home and why is it important?
- Framework for exploring ROTH with young people
- Contextual approaches to safeguarding children and young people
- Holistic planning – A multi service response
- Grooming
- Missing young people
