Safeguarding Workshop - Domestic Abuse: Violent Resistance

One of the more common challenges for professionals who may have contact with domestic abuse is counter-allegations - where both parties claim that the other is abusive.  It can be difficult for professionals to know what to do in situations where it seems to be one person's word against another.  This training will explore the definition of violent resistance and offer some strategies for identifying the primary victim, offering support, and managing risk.
