Multi-agency - Learning from Serious Violence Reviews: Improving Multi-Agency Practice, Prevention and Response
Sheffield Conference - 05 November 2026 - Niagara Conference Centre
Arrive at 9am for a 9.30am start. Conference closes at 4.15pm. Lunch is provided.
This one-day conference for practitioners, supervisors, and services in Sheffield has been developed in response to 3 incidents of serious youth violence involving weapons in Sheffield. Two children were seriously harmed and another child, Harvey Wildgoose, was tragically killed by another child whilst at school. A report was commissioned to consider what must be learnt and this event builds on those findings.
The event will feature a range of key speakers and will be highly interactive, providing valuable learning opportunities for practitioners, managers and leaders across all services working with children, young people and families.
The day will focus on strengthening our collective understanding of serious youth violence and enhancing our ability to identify risks, intervene effectively and provide the right support at the right time.
It will also incorporate the launch of two Sheffield strategies
- Serious Youth Violence
- Risk Outside the Home
