Multi-agency - Conferences and Core Groups

Do you feel confident in your role as part of a Core Group or when attending Child Protection Conferences? This 1-day course will give you a thorough understanding of what is expected, what you need to consider, how to incorporate Signs of Safety, and the legislation and guidance that underpins these child protection processes. Delivered in partnership between SCSP and a Child Protection Conference Coordinator, this is a space to check your knowledge and ask your questions.

The course is a must for people new to working with children and families or who have more recently taken on a safeguarding remit and anticipate that they may become involved in child protection conferences or are likely to be members of a core group, and it is also well reviewed by people who have been doing it for a while and want to check they’ve got it right.

Staff should have completed their own agency Basic/Introduction to Safeguarding Children face to face training or the Sheffield Children Safeguarding Partnership Online E-learning Safeguarding Children training and the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Children Working Together: Promoting Well-being and Keeping Children Safe course before applying for this course.
